Meet the team

Hey there, I’m Jake — tech enthusiast, basketball fan, and proud owner of way too many smart devices (don’t tell my wife).

But I didn’t build this site alone.

I had the luck of teaming up with a configuration wizard, a code genius, basically… the brains of the operation: Eli, a brilliant guy from the Philippines who now lives in South Korea (and apparently never sleeps judging by how fast he replies to messages).

We met on a tech forum, back when I was losing my mind over my first home automation setup. I was about to smash a router when Eli swooped in and solved it in three clicks flat. Since then, I’ve followed his advice religiously (even when he says a smart switch is “too noisy”…).

A year later, I visited Korea with my wife and our son — and yep, we finally met in person. It was like my wife suddenly had two kids and a new buddy. We explored awesome places, ate way too much, and tested a ton of cool smart gear.

From that unlikely friendship, MyDomotix was born.

Our goal? To make your life easier with clear guides, useful comparisons, real reviews, and a few surprises along the way. Whether you’re just starting out in the smart home world or already a Zigbee wizard, we’ve got something for you.
